Brainstem Games will be releasing it's first title "ON Chapter 1: Obscura Nomen", this fall.  Obscura Nomen is a Multiplayer Space Combat FPS supporting

Windows, Linux and Macintosh systems. We've targeted a mid system spec requirement so chances are if you have a system that is up to 7 years old, you'll

be able to play our game.

We are about to launch our 'Closed Online Beta' and will begin accepting applicants immediately.  We will be building a team of 30 to 60 persons both

male and female.  You must be at least 18 years of age.  All interested parties should contact our in-house QA Director Josh Oakley (aka xenolancer) via

email at oakley@brainstemgames.com .  If your application is approved you will be contacted by Mr. Oakley and instructed on what steps are required to

integrate you into the team.  Accepted Team Members will be required to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement and submit a copy of a legal picture ID.

All applicants may be required to participate in an voicechat interview on the LcT Ventrilo Server. This means you must have a working headset with mic

and a working install of Ventrilo (NO Exceptions). If you don't have Ventrilo you can download it here http://www.ventrilo.com (http://www.ventrilo.com).

Please also include the following data in your application (mac and windows users send as an attachment, linux users paste into email or send as

attachment):

Windows XP/Vista Applicants: open the START menu, select RUN, type DXDIAG and hit enter, this should open your DirectX Diagnostic Tool.  At the bottom

of that window is a button 'Save All Information', click and save to desktop.  Attach this document to your application email.
 
Macintosh Applicants: Select Apple Menu -> About This Mac -> More Info -> File -> Save.  Attach this document to your application email.

Linux Applicants:  Linux users will have to use the 'oprofile' package included with the version of Linux you are using.  Install the package and use

that tool to extract the required spec information and either attach or paste it into your application email.

Right now,we are about to begin heavy testing and all participants will have to work/play and report any and all bugs.

I sent my app in already but no reply. spoke with jo and was told to just wait.   I got 2 notebooks, and 3 desktop computers to test with ;-)

yea,be patient.We are working on getting started and all betas should receive an email with all needed information.

well cant a kid report bugs to? i dont really get the 18+ am i gonna forget to report bugs?

plus ive waited for this for like 2 years

The age requirement comes from Brainstem.

If you're younger than 18 you can not legally sign a contract (like an NDA), thus you can not enter a closed beta.
